This 18th-century century mas / vintner’s farm has been extensively restored into an elegant holiday home.
The house is set in one hectare of land, comprising a tree-shaded garden and swimming pool, various outdor lounging areas / viewing points (over the Ventoux, the medieval town and the Roman theatre) and a petanque court.
The remodelling of the interior was carried out by the designer Meilin Bristiel with the assistance of architect Joel Schiltz, who have created a light and fluid space. The décor combines design classics, minimalist icons, flea-market finds, antiques and vintage furniture. There is ample room for mixing as well as for privacy, allowing everyone to follow their own pace of life (there is approximately 420 sq m of internal space).
There is a main house with three air-conditioned bedrooms, and a separate guest house with a further two bedrooms. All bedrooms have their own WC and bath or shower room. There is also an office with WiFi, a gym and a TV room.
The owner of the house is a professional sommelier, and is available off-season to give wine-tasting classes at the house and presentations of Cotes du Rhone wines, whether it be for beginners or experts. A chef is available if booked in advance. She can offer Provençal cooking classes, and speaks good English.
Vaison-la-Romaine and the Provence des Papes epitomises the Provençal art de vivre. The area has exceptional food (Vaison’s market is one of the oldest and best known in Provence), as well as wine (Chateauneuf-du-Pape, Gigondas, Rasteau, Muscat de Beaume de Venise etc. are nearby), history (Roman ruins, medieval villages), cultural events (including the Vaison dance festival in the Roman theatre, the Chorégies d’Orange opera festival and the Festival d’Avignon) and sporting challenges (the famous Mont Ventoux climb attracts serious cyclists, and the nearby Dentelles de Montmirail mountains also provide some classic climbs).

Rest of the year: €4,300 per week (sleeps 10), or €3,660 per week for main house only (sleeps 6)
N.B. 250 €/week for a/c and 250€/week for heating is charged (if used only)
