"I have – or had – a beautiful, architect-designed Modernist house in Camberwell with a fabulous modern garden. Another well-known international agent had it on the market for six months and attracted only half a dozen viewers and an offer £50k short of the asking price. I know, because I’ve been in the market. Many of them don’t answer calls or respond to email enquiries very promptly, if at all. In the current market, I would worry that a local estate agent would more likely concentrate their time and effort on more traditional properties which required less work to make a sale.
